Sunday 15th September 2019 - Coach Walk - Rosehill: 8.50am - Sands: 9.00am
Starting from Seatoller we have a short roadwalk before we pick up a path leading onto Tarn at Leaves. From here we continue over Rosthwaite Fell, round by Coombe Door and onto Glaramara. After a fair bit of up and down we reach Allen crags and a short easy descent brings us to a cross roads of paths. We now have the choice of descending to Angle Tarn or if time allows and group willing we can climb Esk Pike and then having descend down the other side drop down Ore Gap to Angle Tarn. (Please note this would add about .8 mile and 165metres ascent to the walk.) Either way we leave Angle Tarn climb onto Rossett Pike and its down hill nearly all the way via Stake Pass and the Cumbria way path all the to Stonthwaite and right to the hotel in Rosthwaite.
Lunch will be taken as and when. Bus pick 5pm.

11.6 Miles Grade 1

Coach Walk-Rosehill:8.50am-Sands:9.00am
Coach Walk:Rosehill:8.50am - Sands:9.00am
We set off from Rosthwaite and head south on the Cumbria Way along the east side of Stonethwaite Beck. After a couple of miles we cross the beck and make our way north on the other side of the beck. A little stretch of road walking takes us through Stonethwaite and on to Seatoller. ( probably lunch) After lunch we head off through Johnny Wood and alongside the River Derwent. We pass the youth hostel on the way and ignore the first river crossing. We cross the Derwent at the second
crossing and follow the path back in to Rosthwaite.
A gentle walk which will be done at a very slow place.
John
