Car Walk-Sands:9.00am
Wednesday 21st August 2019
Crosby Garrett -Potts Valley
7 Miles Grade 2
Leader: Graham Bell
Sands: 9.15am
This is a repeat of the walk I led on the Club Holiday to Sedbergh last October.
We will head west from Crosby Garrrett and follow rough tracks and field footpaths to the remains of Potts Farm
From there we follow Potts Beck as far as a road leading to Sunbiggin Tarn.
We follow this road for a short way before turning east beside Great Ewe Fell and join the Coast to Coast.
After Bents Farm there is the chance to follow the Coast to Coast to Smardale Viaduct (9miles) or return directly to Crosby Garrett via Crosby Garrett Fell
(7 miles).

B Walk
Deadwater Fell
8 Miles Grade 2/3
Walk Leader: Stephen Parker
Car Walk-Sands:8.30am
Due to the travel time there will be the need for an early start of 8.30am from the Sands.
Once we arrive at Kielder and get parked it is a straight forward walk to the top of Deadwater Fell and the interesting(!!) wooden sculpture with the weather on our side the views again are breathtaking over the Scottish Borders and over to the North East, the top of the fell will be lunch, after lunch it is back to the car park and refreshments at the Café.
This walk is done on forest tracks and well laid out paths the only hazard will be the mountain bikers who we will share some of the tracks, but not all of them, with.
A gentle walk of 8 miles with a total ascent of just under 1,500ft.
