01768 210719, Hello!

Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland welcome all to join them for
the Sunflower Stroll on Sunday 4th September.   This is a special event to
enjoy the beautiful countryside in North Cumbria and help raise vital funds.  This could be a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with family, friends or Work colleagues or to fondly remember a loved one.
Whatever the occasion we promise you an afternoon to remember.

The walk will begin at The Dalston Recreational Centre in Dalston at 1.30pm and will follow a moderate 10 km route, taking in picturesque scenery along the Cumbrian Way, also incorporating wonderful views of the historical Rose Castle, the palace of the Bishops of Carlisle.

When the walk is complete, to welcome hungry participants, a delicious cream scone, biscuits, soft drinks or cuppa will be waiting on return to the Hall.

The entry fee is £10 per adult, £5 per child, under 5’s free and £25 per family. Each participant will receive a large sunflower badge to wear on the walk, snacks en route and refreshments at the end.  Yellow ribbons will be provided for participants who would like to write a message to remember loved ones or perhaps forward a message to Hospice at Home. All ribbons will be tied to a Tree prior to departure of the walk.

We ask each adult participant to raise a minimum of £20.00 either in sponsorship or by giving a special Sunflower Stroll donation. These funds will provide crucial care to patients, families and carers who are enduring difficult times.

Unfortunately the walk is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs, dogs on leads are very welcome.  You can register for the walk at www.hospiceathome.co.uk.

We hope your members are able to join us for this special event.
Best wishes
