Todays Walk - Culgaith and Acorn Bank

Having just reviewed the weather forecast for our area tomorrow and overnight I feel there might be a need to pause for thought. I personally don't feel it is bad enough to cancel at this early juncture, however it contains enough dodgy elements to proceed with caution.

Firstly there is heavy snow forecast in the Culgaith area overnight and given that the route into the village from the A66 is on minor country roads, and also that there is a fair degree of road walking planned on what inevitably will be icy surfaces  winter tyres or even better a 4X4, and boots with a good grip should help ensure a safe passage.

Not trying to be negative but a bit of forethought will make for a much safer and more enjoyable day for all of us. ( note to self: Never ask to swop with Graham again! )

Cheers

Tom
