Annual Coach Outing

Barnard Castle and Durham
Saturday 3rd September 2016

£10

The bus will have two destinations this year - about 25 miles from each other.  It will call first of all at Durham,  a beautiful city with the famous cathedral and castle.  Those who want to stay in Durham will alight here.  From there it will go to Barnard Castle.  This is a small town in the south of the county and houses the Bowes Museum - one of the best in the north of England.  It houses a famous collection of paintings,  including Turner, Van Dyck, Manet and others.  There is also a collection of fashion items,  both from the past and present day, even more impressive than our Xmas parties or various social get togethers! The coach will stay in Barnard Castle during the day,  and collect the folk who visited Durham on the way home. The coach fare will be £10.  No meals are booked - you need to make your own arrangements.  We do need to know fairly soon who would like to go on the trip.  Please email Lauren at laurensarasini@bt internet.com.  We will collect the money on the next coach trip;  alternatively, a cheque can be sent to the treasurer, Roger Tringham - details to follow in due course.
