I may have mentioned that I am involved with a group campaigning to get the Waverley viaduct reopened for pedestrian and cyclists use which would be of benefit to us walkers and other Carlisle residents.

In this weeks Cumberland News on page 19 there is an article about this. The CN are running one of their straw polls asking people to go on to their website (www.cumberlandnews.co.uk) and vote for this. It would be very helpful if our members could do this within the next few days as the more public support we can show the more likely it is to happen.
