How to Join the Club
Joining the club is very simple, just turn up at Rosehill or the Sands on a Sunday morning, or at the Sands on a Wednesday. Introduce yourself and join the walk of your choice. If you let us know you will be coming along, the walk leader will be informed and look out for you. After attending a couple of walks you will be expected to register as a member. A simple registration form is completed, name, address, telephone number, email and within a few days you will receive a copy of the current walks programme and your membership card.
There is a joining fee of £5 and the annual membership fee is £10 (total £15) payable on registration.
What do you get for £15 ?
There are walks organised for every Wednesday and Sunday throughout the year.
Walks to suite all abilities, as easy or hard as you want.
Every two weeks there is a coach walk for only £6
From October to March there are events held every Friday evening at the Church of Scotland hall in
Chapel street Carlisle. These events can be talks, slide shows, music nights, quiz nights etc.
Full details in the winter programme and on the website. In addition there are special walks, coach trips, weekends away, meals out and a club holiday. As a member of the club you would be more than welcome to participate in all events. There is the website which keeps you up to date with everything that is happening in the club. You also have the opportunity to enjoy the the beautiful countryside, keep fit, exercise, make new friends. Wonderful days out with wonderful friendly people.

Anyone who lives in the Penrith area can be picked up for car or coach walks along the way, if the walk is
in that direction.
You can if you wish join the club by post. Download the registration form, print, fill in the required details and post with a cheque enclosed, to the address shown on the form.
Information for Newcomers.
If you are a newcomer to walking on the fells, then you are advised to choose a walk-level, which you know you can cope with easily and move up to a higher level later, rather than take on a level of walk which over-stretches you and you find that you are holding up the progress of others in the party.
