MAP AND COMPASS COURSES

Last Monday seven members of the Carlisle and District Walking Club attended a Map and Compass Course at Grasmere.  Everyone agreed that the course was very informative and worthwhile.  The Club still has funds available from the Neighbourhood Forum Grant for a further 10 members to attend one of these courses.

This is a one day course starting at 10.am for approximately 6.5 hours and covers 5 miles. Usual walking gear and boots are required and you will need to take a packed lunch.  Map and compass are provided.  The following dates are available:

GRASMERE LDNP STOCK LANE Car Park - SUNDAYS

9 June,  23 June, 7 July, 21 July, 4 August, 18 August, 1 September, 15 September

CONISTON LDNP Car Park - TUESDAYS

11 June, 25 June, 9 July, 23 July, 6 August, 20 August, 3 Sept, 17 September

ULLSWATER INFORMATION CENTRE GLENRIDDING -SATURDAYS
