Summary of Minutes of Committee meeting held on September 6th  Stanwix Community Centre

Club Finances

It is likely that overall the club will have generated income over and above expenditure by the year end. This might in theory put at risk the continued grant from the City Council. It was therefore agreed that admission to social nights would be reduced to £1 per member. There would also be one or two  reduced price coach walks(£1) at some point before the end of the year. Members would be informed but the date of the “special offer” would not be revealed  in advance.

The club will submit grant application to City council for 2018

The club is to make an official link with the Holiday Fellowship. More details will be sent out in the club newsletter but briefly association with HF will mean:

  • £5 discount for club members taking HF holidays.
  •  payment of £50 to the club for any member independently booking a HF holiday;
  •  Free liability insurance (currently this costs us £250 per year)

In return HF will expect some acknowledgment in club literature and on the website. They will also ask the club to share club members’ e-mail addresses (with their permission)  in order to mail out info about HF. They have said this would only be once per year.
