A Weekend to Bonnie Scotland

Friday 27th April – Sunday 29th April 2018

I’m planning a weekend to Bonnie Scotland.

It's a long way off but hotels have to be booked early.

Leaving Carlisle on the Friday afternoon and driving up to Loch Lomond, to the famous Drovers Inn at Inverarnan, arriving in time for dinner.

The Scottish Pub of the Year (1705)

Not a Scottish theme pub, the real thing.

Following a great Scottish breakfast, on Saturday morning, we will head off to

The Cobbler, real name Ben Arthur, one of Scotland’s most iconic mountains. After a great day on The Cobbler we return to the Drovers for dinner. After breakfast the following day we head off to Drymen and do a section of the West Highland Way to Balmaha, on the shore of Loch Lomond. This section includes Conic Hill with its fantastic views of Loch Lomond and surrounding area. We will end up back in Drymen for dinner at the Clachan Inn, before driving back to Carlisle.

Cost

£100 plus evening meals & petrol contribution
