"B" Walk

Haystacks from Gatesgarth

6 miles Grade 2

Leader: Pete Rutland

Starting from the car park at Gatesgarth farm, located at the Southern end of Buttermere Lake. Parking here is £3 for the day if I remember correctly.We go across Peggys Bridge and take the usual path up Scarth Gap Pass. Hopefully lunch will be on the summit of Haystacks where the more spiritual of you can have a chat with AW.
Sticking to the main routes we will come down via Warnscale Bottom.
Not a long walk so there will be no hurry and plenty of time to enjoy the views, weather allowing.

Bad weather alternative, an easy walk around Buttermere.
