Charity Walk
My name is Joan Heyland. I plan to walk Hardian's Wall between 18th - 22nd September. I write to you as the publicist/webmaster for your local rambling club to request your support in recruiting walkers!
The walk is not only a personal challenge for me but to raise awareness of 'Combat Stress', a very worthwhile charity which provides treatment and welfare support to military veterans with mental health problems.
I am hoping you will extend an invitation to your club members to join me for any part of the walk. I shall be in the Bowness-on-Solway area on Sunday 17th Sept. and plan to walk to Crosby-on-Eden by Monday 18thSept.
